Privacy
No banners, no tracking. Below you'll find which data we keep, what it's for and how to remove it.
Who processes your data
The data on this site is processed by AppHunter.
Which data we collect and why
Browsing the site requires no account and no personal data. We collect something only in three cases.
Newsletter
If you subscribe we store your email address, what you want to follow (all the apps or some of them) and when you gave your consent. We use them to write to you about app releases and updates, and to send you the welcome email and the confirmation email when you leave. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
App Attack
In the ideas feed, the first time you view an idea, give it a heart or turn on the bell, your browser receives a cookie called ha_vid: a random code that contains nothing about you. We use it to remember what you have already seen or liked, to count one view and one heart per person and to understand which ideas people like most. It lasts 12 months. We don't use it for advertising or to follow you on other sites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which ideas work (art. 6(1)(f)).
If you turn on the bell of an idea you leave us your email. The address subscribes you to the AppHunter newsletter for all the apps, under the same rules as above, and stays linked to the idea you left it for. The browser remembers the address on your device, so you don't have to type it again: it doesn't leave the device until you use it.
Technical data
Like any site, the server records the IP address, the requested page and the time. They are needed to make it work, to defend it from abuse and to find errors (art. 6(1)(f)). To limit repeated requests we also keep the IP in memory, for a few minutes, without saving it in the database.
Cookies and banners
We don't use advertising, profiling or third-party analytics cookies, and we don't load scripts that follow you. That's why you won't find a banner to accept. Only the following may appear on your device:
ha_vid, described above, only if you use the App Attack feed. You can delete it from the browser settings: the feed will treat you as a new person.- The memory of the bell email, in the browser's local storage, only if you used it.
Who we share data with
We don't sell the data and we don't give it to anyone for their own purposes. Three providers are entrusted with it and process it on our behalf (art. 28 GDPR):
- Fly.io, which hosts the site and the database in Europe, in Frankfurt.
- Resend, which sends the newsletter emails and keeps the list of recipients. It is based in the United States: the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (art. 46) or on the Data Privacy Framework, where it participates.
- Tigris, which stores the images and files of the site. It contains no data about those who visit it.
For how long
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. When you do, we delete your address from our database, and with it the link to the ideas of the bell, and we update the Resend list accordingly.
- App Attack: views and hearts stay linked to the anonymous code of the cookie, which on its own doesn't allow anyone to trace you. If you want them gone, reply to one of our emails.
- Server technical data: for the short time needed for security and error diagnosis, then deleted by the provider.
Your rights
You can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format and object to processing based on legitimate interest (arts. 15-21 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to the newsletter whenever you want, from the Unsubscribe page or from the link at the bottom of every email: withdrawal doesn't affect what we did before.
We reply within a month. If you think we haven't respected your rights you can contact the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
If anything we collect changes, we update this page and the date below. Last updated: 7 October 2026.
